About Us

Gujarati Mandal of Calgary is a non-profit community-based organization totally dedicated to the adoption and promotion of Gujarati culture, religions, and history.

The objectives of the organization were to provide for the social and cultural needs of the Gujarati speaking people in and around Calgary and to foster understanding and co-operation with other communities. Since its formation Gujarati Mandal of Calgary has been able meet its objectives and goals through the activities that it has organized over the years and continues to do so.

The Gujarati-speaking community in Calgary has a diverse history. Although our members come from various parts of the world before settling in Canada, but what unites them is that their ancestral origin is from the State of Gujarat.
